CIPS UK Study Center at ESCB
 
ESCB is the registered international study centre of CIPS to deliver the CIPS qualifications programs at Level 4 (Diploma in Procurement and supply), Level 5(Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply) and Level- 6 (Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply) in Bangladesh since 2012.

CIPS Qualification

CIPS Qualification is an internationally reputed professional degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management. CIPS Qualification certificate is well recognized and accepted by public and private sector and development agencies all over the world. It is a need based professional degree. The whole courses are designed to build capacity among supply chain professional with required skills, knowledge and attitude to render the best performance in the competitive global market. As a result, demand for CIPS qualification increase every day.

The main three levels that the participants have to go through to obtain MCIPS degree as follows:

Level- 4 (Diploma in Procurement and Supply)
Level- 5 (Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply)
Level- 6 (Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply)

CIPS Qualification at a Glance


Level- 4 (Diploma in Procurement and Supply)

Objectives: The CIPS Level 4 provides the first stage of learning for individuals seeking to progress & complete further stages of the CIPS ladder.

Eligibility for admission: Either graduation or equivalent as determined by CIPS, successful completion of CIPS level 2 or 3 or 2 years relevant experience.

Modules: 5 Compulsory modules:

D1. Contexts of Procurement and Supply
D2. Business Needs in Procurement and Supply
D3. Sourcing in Procurement and Supply
D4. Negotiating and Contracting in Procurement and Supply
D5. Managing Contracts and Relationships in Procurement and Supply

Examination and mode of learning: Three (03) hours written exam for each module. Class based learning with assignment and mock test



Level- 5 (Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply)

Objectives: Level 5 has been developed to equip the individual with the knowledge and skills to operate with confidence in the managerial aspects of purchasing & supply.

Eligibility for admission: Must have successfully completed CIPS level 4 or be been exempted.

Modules: 3 compulsory units Plus 2 optional from AD4 AD6:

AD1. Management in Procurement and Supply
AD2. Managing Risks in Supply Chains
AD3. Improving the Competitiveness of Supply Chains
AD4. Category Management in Procurement and Supply
AD5. Sustainability in Supply Chains
AD6. Operations Management in Supply Chain

Examination and mode of learning: Three (03) hours written exam for each module. Class based learning with assignment and mock test



Level- 6 (Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply)

Objectives: Level 6 is providing with extensive knowledge at the strategic level in purchasing and supply. The participants will therefore, have achieved the status of Purchasing and Supply Professional (MCIPS) defined by the Institute.

Eligibility for admission: Must have successfully completed CIPS level 4 & 5 or been exempted.

Modules: 3 Compulsory units plus 2 optional from PD4 PD6:

PD1. Leadership in Procurement and Supply
PD2. Corporate and Business Strategy
PD3. Strategic Supply Chain Management
PD4. Supply Chain Diligence
PD5. Program and Project Management
PD6. Legal Aspects in Procurement and Supply (UK)

Examination and mode of learning: Three (03) hours written exam for each module. Class based learning with assignment and mock test


CIPS Resource Persons
MCIPS qualified faculty of Bangladesh and CIPS, UK. In addition, National Procurement Trainer of Bangladesh Govt. and sometimes supply chain expert and consultant from reputed organizations also share practical experience with participants.


CIPS Assessment System:
CIPS students obtained their qualification through assessment process. 03 hours written exam for 100 marks held for each module. CIPS assessment team organize exam globally 05 times in a year. After completion the exam; all exam center returns answer paper to CIPS assessment team in UK. Gradually results publish after two month of each assessment. The following pass marks and grade bands apply to all units for the International Qualification and for the qualifications at Levels 4, 5, and 6.
  • Distinction 75 - 100%
  • Merit 60 - 74%
  • Pass 50 - 59%
  • Fail 0 - 49%


CIPS Course Fees
Admission/ Registration fees: Tk. 5,000 (Per Level)
Tuition Fees: Tk. 11,000 (Per Module)


Class Timing:
Friday Batch: 8.00 am 12.30 pm
Saturday Batch: 9.00 am 1.30 pm
Evening Batch: 6.00 pm 8.15 pm (Every Saturday and Tuesday)
