Public Procurement Reform Project (PPRP-II) was launched by GOB with CPTU as the implementing agency in March 2008. The important component of the project is institutionalizing capacity development, which mainly focused on:
3-week long residential course on Public Procurement targeting participation from four major agencies of GOB (RHD, LGED, REB, BWDB) along with other public agencies in Bangladesh.
Shorter and more focused training courses for narrower target groups and developing core procurement skills, evaluation mechanism and contract administration, Planning, budgeting and Supply Chain Management skills.
Presently in collaboration of CPTU 3 week long residential training courses are being implemented in ESCB, first one commenced in October 2008 and the offlate 53 course is in progress. Two courses of Procurement Focal Persons is also completed.
